Continuing Education: Integrated Structural Acupuncture for Physicians with Kiiko Matsumoto – 2019-2020

Learn from an internationally acclaimed Master of Acupuncture:   Kiiko Matsumoto

Integrated Structural Acupuncture is the only physician course that teaches a Japanese system of acupuncture based on the teachings of a modern master, Kiiko Matsumoto.  This system gives the practitioner the skills to verify the efficacy of the point on the table during the treatment.  We call this a point verification approach to acupuncture.  As a result, the patient and provider develop immediate confidence in the treatment.  ISA also brings  international experts to the U.S. who have developed similar point verification methods to give the students skills to provide efficient and successful treatments.

This 9 month program combines Web Based Distance Learning with Live On-site sessions.    The archived web based resources are organized in weekly modules, as if a set of lectures will be given each week.    This includes PowerPoint Lectures, Point Location Images, Scientific Articles and Video Demonstrations.

This course is designed to maximize acupuncture skill acquisition.  Rather than have the clinical, hands-on exposure occur during a concentrated period of time, the four weekend sessions are spread out over a 9 month period.  This allows for better retention of the material, the chance to practice skills between live sessions, get feedback from the instructors over time, and build your clinical skills in a stepwise manner.  The goal is to ensure that at the completion of the course, you are confident and ready to incorporate acupuncture into your practice setting.
