About this course:

Learn how to interpret the nervous system as the channel system to understand the anatomical basis of point functions.

Gain proficiency in electro-modulating various branches of the sensory, motor, and neurovascular system.

Perfect the practitioner’s skill in obtaining the correct De-Qi sensation unique to each point through the knowledge of neuro-anatomy and channel theory.

 

Dr. Chiang will provide precise clinical anatomical approaches used to treat common neuro-orthopedic disorders such as:

UPPER Extremity:
Rotator Cuff Syndrome, Frozen Shoulder, Tennis Elbow, Tricep Tendinosis, Bicipital Tendinitis, Golfer’s Elbow, De Quervain Tenosynovitis, Carpal tunnel.

LOWER Extremity:
Piriformis Syndrome, Iliotibial Band (ITB) Syndrome, Ischial Tuberosity Bursitis, Pes Anserinus Tendinitis, Popliteal Tendinosis, Patellofemoral Joint Syndrome, Anterior/Posterior Shin Splint, Inversion Ankle Sprain, Plantar Fasciitis.

Learn More About Dr. Poney Chiang:

Dr. Poney Chiang is an adjunct professor and founder of the Integrative Acupuncture Certificate Program for the Faculty of Health at York University (Toronto).  He is also a professor at the American Neuro-Acupuncture Institute in Santa Fe.  Poney’s passion in integrating Classical and Medical acupuncture has led him to cross-reference medical classics (Spiritual Pivot, Systematic Classic) with modern research on the peripheral nervous system.  His research interest includes cadaver dissection and MRI-based study of acupuncture points.  Poney is an expert in the peripheral neuro-anatomy of acupoints and their associated neuro-modulation needle techniques.  He has been invited to lecture at the World Federation Acupuncture Society, American Academy of Medical Acupuncture as well as organizations in North/South America, Europe and Australia.  He is currently focused on writing an integrative acupuncture textbook with Paradigm Publishing.
