About Our Speakers:

 

Mary Elizabeth Wakefield is the internationally recognized author of the book, Constitutional Facial Acupuncture (Elsevier UK, 2014).  She is an acclaimed teacher, an acupuncturist, an herbalist, Acutonics® and Zen Shiatsu practitioner, cranio-sacral therapist and a professional opera singer. Mary Elizabeth is acknowledged to be a leading international authority on facial acupuncture, and has created innovative treatment protocols that emphasize a constitutional approach to this modality, and a wide range of educational seminars that present her unique philosophy and treatment protocols. She has trained over 5,500 practitioners worldwide.

Her 2020 teaching schedule to date includes seminars in New York City, and certification series offerings in Boulder (SWAC) and Denver, CO, Niantic, CT, Bloomfield, NJ (ESATM), Los Angeles, CA (Yo San University), Nanaimo, BC and Montreal, QC, CANADA, and ICZO in Antwerp, BELGIUM. She and her life and teaching partner, MichelAngelo, will return to the TCM-Kongress, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, GERMANY, GERMANY, Pacific Symposium, San Diego, CA, and Great River Symposium, Minneapolis, MN, to present material from their new book, Vibrational Acupuncture: Integrating Tuning Forks with Needles, slated to be published by Singing Dragon UK (Hachette) in March 2020. They will also appear at the AAMA Conference, in Orlando, FL, in April, where their topic will be Constitutional Facial Acupuncture.

MichelAngelo, M. F. A. is an opera singer, classical composer, pianist, astrologer, healer, diviner and writer, MichelAngelo will appear as a presenter at the 30th Institute of Vedic Astrology conference in Kolkata, INDIA in 2021, where his topic will be “A Western Astrological Model of the Eight Extraordinary Meridians of Chinese Medicine for Diagnosis and Treatment”.

In spring 2019, he self-published a book containing some of his original astrological essays, entitled Random Ramblings of an Astrological Autodidact, in both paperback and e-book format; it will be reviewed by Mary Plumb of The Mountain Astrologer in the February/March 2020 issue. A second volume, Miscellaneous Maunderings about the Starry Sky, was published in October 2019.  A third compilation, A Congeries of Cosmic Considerations, is currently in the works.

MichelAngelo’s article, “The King is Dead”, a medical astrological analysis of Elvis Presley’s birth chart from both a Western and Chinese medical perspective, appeared in Oriental Medicine Journal.
